Collin County History

Genealogy Friends of Plano Libraries, Inc. have created a Collin County history page that might help you in your research of the area, http://www.genealogyfriends.org/history/

Collin County Genealogical Society publishes a periodical, Collin Chronicles, Records of Collin County, Texas.  You can purchase them from the society, http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txcolcgs/publications.htm or view the past issues at Portal to Texas History, http://texashistory.unt.edu/.

The Collin County Genealogical Historical Records, http://www.collincotxhistdoc.info/index.php, has some Collin County records transcribed or indexed.  It is done by Sue Patterson.

The Collin County TXGenWeb page, http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txcolli2/Collin_County_TXGENWEB/, also provides information for Collin County.  It is run by volunteers. 

Libraries — McKinney Public Library and GLHTA have Collin County Information on microfilm and books.
